2026-2027 JSMS Band Registration
Follow the steps below to complete the 2026-2027 JSMS Band registration:
1. Complete Online Handbook
Please click the appropriate link below to fill out the 2026-2027 JSMS Band Handbook.
2. Medical/Travel Release Form
Print and fill out the Medical/Travel Release Form linked below. Turn the form in to a JSMS Band Director. A copy can be provided to your student upon request. (For all JSMS Band Students, 6th-8th grades.)
Students must have a Medical/Travel Release Form on file with directors to participate at off-campus events.
3. Update Presto Assistant Information
Update student and parent information on Presto Assistant. Presto is our primary means of inventory and communication during the school year.

Check the email that you have on file with the district for a “Welcome Email” from Presto Assistant and follow the steps to verify and set up your account.

Both Parents and Students should complete this step.

Visit https://bit.ly/PrestoJoinHelp for step-by-step instructions on setting up your account.

Make sure to link Parent and Student accounts in Presto.

Click “Invite Family.”

Each family member will have to be approved on the Parent account Dashboard.

4. Communication Apps
Red Oak ISD is transitioning to Parent Square and we will be using this as our primary means of communication. Please visit www.parentsquare.com or download the app for your device.
5. Band Polo
FOR 7th/8th Grade Students ONLY! (6th grade students will provide their polo size as a part of the Band Handbook Google Form above.)
The maroon band polo will be worn for performances throughout the year. If you have a band polo that fits, you may skip this step. If not, please fill out the link below. The cost for band polos is $21. Payment can be accepted soon after the school year has started and can be paid through your Presto Assistant account or by sending cash in a provided envelope to the Shaw/ROMS Band Hall.
